Bid Season Opener Recap
Bid season is here and kicked off strong for our club teams as they competed across the West Coast Qualifier in Anaheim and Red Rock Rave in Las Vegas, showing resilience, versatility, and high-level play across all age groups.
17 Elite – West Coast Qualifier
Our 17 Elite squad opened the bid season with an impressive 6-1 record, finishing 9th overall in the Gold Division. The team demonstrated consistency through a series of tough matches, competing at a high level from start to finish.
Izzy De Ocampo, Kami Silvas, and Amyla Carlton led the charge offensively and defensively, contributing heavily in both digs and kills.
13 Power – Red Rock Rave
The 13 Power team battled through a challenging field, finishing with a 3-4 record. Despite the results, the team showed tremendous grit in tough situations and earned praise for their composure and grace under pressure.
Defensively, Giuliana Punla, Aliyah Bon, and Devynn Villanueva anchored the backcourt with strong, consistent play.
14 Elite – Red Rock Rave
Short-handed but determined, 14 Elite finished 3-4 and took home a Silver Division finish. The team maintained its strength and competitiveness throughout the weekend.
Kylie DeOcampo showcased versatility, successfully playing three different positions.
Captain Gabby Perez led by example with strong execution both on and off the court, contributing to a balanced offensive and defensive effort. In her first tournament as an outside hitter, Vincy Yee made an immediate impact with a high kill percentage and excellent serve receive.
14 Power – Red Rock Rave
The 14 Power team posted a solid 5-3 record, highlighting strong teamwork and control of the game.
Jaeliyah Molano provided steady, reliable defense, consistently keeping plays alive. Setter Cherish commanded the court, running the offense with poise through consistent and creative decision-making.
15 Elite – Red Rock Rave
15 Elite delivered a standout performance, finishing 6-2 and winning their flight.
Emma Tam anchored serve receive and stepped into the outside role when needed, making smart and effective plays. Maddy Macleod made a major impact from the service line with scoring runs while remaining a strong offensive option in the middle.
15 Power – Red Rock Rave
15 Power saw strong individual performances throughout the weekend.
Ella Go filled the stat sheet with 45 assists, 15 aces, and 25 digs, showcasing her all-around impact. Allison Leal-Esparza proved to be a reliable go-to hitter, leading the offense in key moments.
A great start to bid season across the board, with every team showing growth, resilience, and competitive spirit. We’re excited to build on this momentum as the season continues.
