1/24-25 | NCVA Qualifiers & WCVBA

13 Premier
13 Premier opened their tournament run with a strong 3–1 finish, highlighted by consistent effort and on-court leadership.

  • Emma Ramirez and Natalie Trinh set the tone throughout the weekend—both athletes took initiative in key moments, encouraged their teammates when energy dipped, and brought a steady presence that helped guide the group through tight matches.

    Their composure and buy-in played a major role in the team’s success.

14 Elite
14 Elite showed grit and adaptability, navigating lineup shifts and still delivering competitive play from start to finish.

  • Dylann Villanueva, Kylie DeOcampo, and Ava Grewal all stepped into unfamiliar positions yet continued to produce, demonstrating versatility and a willingness to do whatever the team needed.

    The group’s resilience under shifting responsibilities reflected a strong foundation of teamwork and trust.

  • Jaylen Delbarrio led the offensive charge with 23 kills, attacking with confidence throughout the weekend.

  • Haymar Min anchored the passing unit with a 1.9 passing average and added 17 digs, stabilizing the backcourt.

  • Emma Tam continued her strong all-around play, recording 11 aces and 18 digs.

  • Sophia Ponce distributed the offense with poise, finishing with 43 assists and keeping hitters in rhythm all tournament.

With production from every position, the team built momentum that will serve them well heading into the next stretch.

15 Power
15 Power continued to progress, showing improved offensive flow and steady pressure at the service line.

  • Jhia Sambrano and Allison Leal each tallied 11 kills, providing a reliable scoring presence.

  • From the service line, Jordyn Rubiano, Diella Refuerzo, and Alexis Galindez drove momentum, helping the team average 0.8 aces per set.

  • Alyza Paras made a significant defensive impact, showing consistency in long rallies and helping anchor the backcourt.

1/23-25 | Colorado Crossroads

16 Power • Colorado Crossroads (4–3 Finish)

16 Power closed out the Colorado Crossroads with a strong 4–3 record, highlighted by standout statistical performances and meaningful team moments off the court.

  • Sarah Yang (#23) earned MVP honors, leading the team in nearly every statistical category: 34 kills, .224 hitting, 11 aces, and 45 digs.

  • Ada Kowalewski (#19) contributed 28 kills, attacking with consistency throughout the weekend.

  • Marice Tarabay (#14) added efficient offense from the right side, hitting .208.

  • Cielo Valle (#8) delivered 33 digs and 6 aces, providing stability defensively.

Beyond the competition, the team made the most of their time together—exploring downtown Denver, visiting the Museum of Illusions, and bonding between matches (including petting every dog they could find).

They now return home to San Mateo as they prepare to open their Power League season next weekend.
